Bulgaria's Eurovision Champion Dara Leads New Tourism Promotion Campaign
Bulgaria’s 2026 Eurovision Song Contest winner, Dara, who secured the country’s first victory with the song “Bangaranga,” will feature in a global campaign organised by the Ministry of Tourism. The initiative showcases a range of Bulgarian talents—including artists, athletes and scientists—and highlights attractions such as Varna’s Chalcolithic Necropolis, Aladzha Monastery and the Roman Baths. During a meeting with the Minister of Culture, Dara received a rose‑statuette gift and emphasized the personal connection she feels to her hometown.
Later, Dara appeared on Serbian television, where she commented on fellow pop star Milica Pavlovic’s costly music‑video production. Surprised by the expense, Dara urged Pavlovic to consider entering Eurovision, stating that a star of her stature “must represent her country.” The interview sparked discussion on regional pop‑music dynamics and highlighted Dara’s growing influence across the Balkans following her Eurovision triumph.
