Bulgaria's Justice Minister emphasizes judicial independence for economic growth
Bulgarian Justice Minister Nikolay Naydenov emphasized that an independent judicial system is essential for national prosperity and economic development. Speaking at a meeting organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria, which included President Rumen Radev and other government officials, Naydenov stated that the government's priorities are to ensure an independent and accessible justice system.
The Minister highlighted that judicial reforms aim to restore trust among Bulgarian citizens and the business community. He noted that investors require legal stability and guarantees that laws will not change unexpectedly without their involvement or prior knowledge. To achieve this, the government plans to improve the legislative process to ensure greater transparency and coordination with the public and business sectors.
Additionally, Naydenov focused on increasing access to justice through digitalization. He announced plans to implement digital tools that would allow citizens to participate in legal processes remotely via computers or mobile phones, regardless of the physical location of the court.
