Bulgaria's Radev Cabinet Trust Remains Stable, Sociologist Says

Sociologist Андрей Райчев told Radio Focus's "Metronome" program that recent polling data does not show a decline in public confidence in the cabinet led by President Radev. He characterized the figures as a normalization of trust rather than a downward trend.

Rайчев said the criticism of the government originates from two distinct sources. One is the Russian‑friendly voting bloc that is disappointed Radev is not pro‑Putin, and the other is the opposition, referred to as “the blues,” which reacts to perceived U.S. influence after recent U.S. aircraft landings. He added that the criticism may ease once Radev addresses his main internal opponent, Delian Peevski.
