Bulgartransgaz appoints Kiril Ravnatski as new executive director

Bulgartransgaz, Bulgaria's state gas transmission operator, has appointed Kiril Ravnatski as its new executive director. Ravnatski replaces Vladimir Malinov, who had led the company for more than seven years, including a period when he served as acting Minister of Energy in Dimitar Glavchev's government from April 2024 to January 2025.

The leadership change extends to Gas Hub Balkan, a subsidiary of Bulgartransgaz that manages the natural gas trading platform. Following his departure from the executive role at Bulgartransgaz, Malinov has been appointed chairman of the Board of Directors at Gas Hub Balkan. Petya Ivanova will serve as an executive member of the board at the gas hub.

Ravnatski has previous experience within Bulgartransgaz, having held various positions between 2012 and 2018, and he served as the interim head of the company in 2024. He also previously led Gas Hub Balkan as executive director from 2019 to early 2023.
