Bulkhead CEO addresses content demands for Wardogs
The first-person shooter Wardogs has seen significant success following its early access launch on Steam, attracting hundreds of thousands of players. Joe Brammer, CEO of developer Bulkhead and executive director of Wardogs, acknowledged that the game's rapid popularity has created high demand for content that the team may struggle to meet immediately.
Brammer stated that the development focus remains on delivering a high-quality 1.0 version and expanding the game for a future console launch. He noted that while they may not be able to keep up with all player demands for immediate content, the priority is maintaining efficient development cycles and implementing balancing updates.
Early impressions of the game suggest it occupies a unique niche in the FPS genre, offering a balance between arcade-style warfare and complex military simulation. This gameplay loop has attracted both casual players and hardcore enthusiasts, filling a perceived gap between titles like Battlefield and more complex simulators like ARMA.
