Bullion releases ‘Nearly’, a minimal pop album by Nathan Jenkins

London-based producer Nathan Jenkins, performing under the moniker Bullion, has released a new album titled ‘Nearly’. Despite Jenkins previously stating a goal of ‘No more songs’ to move away from traditional pop, the record features some of the most delicate and refined pop compositions of his career.

The album is characterized by a sense of restraint and minimalism, utilizing sparse percussion, pointillist arpeggios, and misty reverb tails. Jenkins’ vocal style on the project is described as channeling the mysticism of Peter Gabriel through a murmured cadence similar to chillwave artists like Washed Out. The production emphasizes emotive effects and spaciousness, following the aesthetic of his previous 2024 release, ‘Affection’.
