Bullion trader and wife killed in Madhya Pradesh road accident

Prominent bullion trader Gopal Das Soni, 53, and his wife Rekhabai were killed in a road accident on the Ujjain-Indore highway near Panth Piplai, according to police reports.

The accident occurred on Sunday when the couple was traveling from Agar Malwa to Indore to purchase merchandise and visit their son. Police stated that the vehicle lost control at high speed, struck a road divider, and subsequently crashed into the rear of a parked truck. The impact severely crushed the front of the car, trapping the occupants.

Nanakheda police responded to the scene and extricated the passengers. While Soni and his wife were declared dead on arrival at a nearby hospital, a young girl traveling with them sustained serious injuries. She has been referred to a medical facility in Indore for advanced treatment. Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the crash, including road conditions and vehicle speed.
