BULOG mobilizes 33,000 tons of corn to support Java livestock farmers

Perum BULOG is accelerating the mobilization of approximately 33,000 tons of corn from South Sulawesi, Gorontalo, and West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) to strengthen feed supplies for micro-livestock farmers on Java Island.

BULOG Director General Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani inspected the loading of 10,000 tons of SPHP corn at Soekarno-Hatta Port in Makassar to ensure smooth delivery to Tanjung Perak Port in Surabaya. The distribution includes 15,000 tons from Gorontalo, 10,000 tons from South Sulawesi, and 8,000 tons from NTB. This initiative aims to maintain affordable raw material prices for farmers and stabilize the supply of eggs and poultry meat, particularly to support the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program.

Separately, PT Sinergi Gula Nusantara (SGN) is providing 1,000 water pumps to sugarcane farmers at the Rendeng Sugar Factory in Jepara, Central Java. This support aims to optimize irrigation and maintain crop productivity to bolster the national sugar self-sufficiency goal.
