Bulog reports sufficient rice stocks in West Java and Banyumas

Perum Bulog has reported stable rice supplies across several regions in Indonesia. In West Java, the regional office maintains approximately 623.9 thousand tons of rice, which is expected to remain sufficient until the 2027 harvest season begins in February. This stock consists primarily of government-subsidized rice (PSO), with the remainder being commercial stock distributed across warehouses in Bandung, Cianjur, Cirebon, Indramayu, Karawang, Subang, Ciamis, and Bogor.

In Banyumas, Central Java, the Bulog branch has distributed 31,904.3 tons of rice through the Food Supply and Price Stabilization (SPHP) program throughout 2026. This distribution exceeded the initial target of 13,448.7 tons. Bulog officials stated that these efforts, conducted in coordination with local inflation control teams, aim to stabilize consumer prices and ensure food availability. Despite meeting absorption targets, Bulog intends to continue purchasing grain from local farmers to maintain price stability for producers.
