Bultei: Carabinieri discover illegal cannabis plantation

Carabinieri officers discovered an illegal cannabis plantation in the rural area of Bultei, Sardinia. The cultivation consisted of over 100 plants arranged in three rows, many of which already showed inflorescences.

Following several days of surveillance, authorities caught a 50-year-old local breeder watering the plants using a makeshift irrigation system on family land. Preliminary tests confirmed the presence of THC. The plants have been seized, and further qualitative analysis will be conducted by the RIS of Cagliari.

The suspect, who has a prior criminal record, has been placed under house arrest pending an interrogation before the judge of the Court of Nuoro.
