Bulungan pedestrian bridge steel plates stolen in South Jakarta

Approximately 20 steel floor support plates have been stolen from the Bulungan pedestrian bridge (JPO) on Jalan Kyai Maja, South Jakarta. The theft, which occurred near the Attorney General's Office, has left gaping holes in the stairs, posing a safety risk to commuters.

The Jakarta Selatan City Administration has urged residents to report any suspicious activity involving the removal of public infrastructure. The DKI Jakarta Public Works Agency (Dinas Bina Marga) has been notified and is working to inventory the damage and carry out repairs to restore the bridge to its recent newly-maintained condition.
