Bundesliga 2026/27 broadcasting rights and season details

The 2026/27 Bundesliga season has commenced, featuring 18 teams competing in a 34-match schedule. The season, which includes newcomers such as SV Elversberg and returning clubs like FC Schalke 04 and SC Paderborn 07, is set to conclude on May 22, 2027.

New broadcasting arrangements for this season aim to increase the availability of matches on free-to-air television. According to RTL CEO Stephan Schmitter, the goal is to provide broader access to professional German football. While Sky remains a primary provider for live coverage, RTL will increase the frequency of matches available via free-to-air channels.

Additional coverage details include DAZN broadcasting the Saturday conferences, while ARD and ZDF will continue to provide highlights of Saturday evening matches. The DFB-Pokal will be available through both Sky and RTL+, and selected top matches of the UEFA Europa League will be shared between RTL+ and Sky.
