Bungie outlines Marathon roadmap as Lagario 3 announces remake

Bungie has released a roadmap detailing the future evolution of its game, Marathon, through 2027. The development plan includes a progression and reward overhaul in October, followed by the expansion 'Symbiosis' in December, which will introduce the first permanent PvE experience, a social space, and new gear. By March, the game aims to integrate PvE, PvP, and PvEvP experiences with deeper progression and new narrative elements.

Separately, the developer of Lagario 3 has announced a remake of the 2018 agar.io clone. The new version, Lagario 3: Orbit, features realistic gravity mechanics and a serverless multiplayer architecture. The game utilizes WebRTC for connections and Web Workers to maintain simulation stability, allowing the host to run the match directly in their browser without a dedicated central server.
