Bunkeflostrand explosion leads to two arrests

An explosion occurred at a multi-family residential building in Bunkeflostrand on a Tuesday evening, causing damage to a stairwell door and the building facade. Police responded to the detonation, which was reported around 9:22 PM.

Two individuals in their 18s have been arrested in connection with the incident. The National Bomb Disposal Unit attended the scene to investigate the possibility of additional explosive materials. Authorities have cordoned off an area of approximately 100 by 100 meters, and while two stairwells are restricted, police stated there is no danger to the general public if cordons are respected.

Witnesses reported seeing a green glow and smelling a chemical odor, as well as observing a person fleeing the scene. No injuries have been reported. Police are currently interviewing witnesses in the area.
