Bunmeido to release limited Moomin Ancestor Castella

Bunmeido will release a limited edition ‘Moomin Ancestor Castella’ starting September 1, 2026. The product features the ‘Ancestor’ character, a small, long-haired grey troll from the Moomin series, marking the character's first appearance on a Bunmeido product.

The honey castella is an S-size product designed to be divided into four to six slices. The packaging and labels feature exclusive illustrations, including designs inspired by the character's preference for surrounding itself with favorite items and a blue wallpaper motif. The product will be available at Moomin shops, the Bunmeido online shop, and the Bunmeido Tobu Department Store Ikebukuro branch.
