Bunnings and Aldi lead Australian brand trust and satisfaction rankings

Recent market research highlights shifting consumer sentiment and brand loyalty in Australia. According to Roy Morgan, Bunnings has maintained its position as Australia’s most trusted brand for 11 consecutive quarters. Following Bunnings, Aldi and Kmart rank as the second and third most trusted brands, respectively.

In the retail sector, Aldi Australia has also been recognized by Canstar Blue for its ninth consecutive year as the best-rated supermarket for overall customer satisfaction. This follows the retailer's investment of over AUD 170 million in permanent price reductions across more than 300 products, including staples like meat and seafood.

Conversely, the survey identified Optus as the most untrusted brand in Australia for the second consecutive quarter. Other brands facing low trust levels include Meta and the e-commerce platform Temu. Notably, trust in AI-related companies such as OpenAI and Palantir has seen a significant decline, with consumers citing concerns over data privacy, ethics, and environmental impact.
