Bunnpris reports over 8 billion NOK in turnover

The Norwegian grocery chain Bunnpris reported a turnover of over 8 billion NOK last year, representing a growth of nearly 5.8 percent. Despite this increase, which was aided by ten new store openings, the company maintained a consistent market share of 3.3 percent.

Christian Lykke, a sixth-generation merchant at the family-owned business, expressed satisfaction with the company's ability to maintain its position despite intense competition and persistent cost pressures. He noted that while the company achieved its best annual result since 2015, gaining market share remains difficult in the current environment.

The controlling family company, I. K. Lykke, reported total revenues of nearly 3 billion NOK, consisting of 2.56 billion NOK from its own 65 stores and 380 million NOK in franchise income. The company posted an annual profit of 121 million NOK, with shareholders receiving 30.4 million NOK in dividends.
