Bunny Levine, actress in ‘La La Land’ and ‘Gilmore Girls’, dies at 97

American actress Bunny Levine has passed away at the age of 97. She died peacefully in her sleep at her residence in Tarzana, California, on August 20 due to natural causes, according to her representative.

Levine had a diverse career, beginning as a teacher and school librarian in New Jersey for approximately 25 years before pursuing acting after her retirement. Her Hollywood career spanned several decades, beginning in the late 1980s and including over one hundred film and television credits. Notable roles included Mrs. Thompson in ‘Gilmore Girls’ and a cinema employee in the film ‘La La Land’. Her television credits also include ‘Law & Order’, ‘Ugly Betty’, ‘Criminal Minds’, and ‘Shameless’.

In addition to her acting work, Levine was a mentor to others in the industry. In 1991, she and her husband, Bernard S. Levine, founded Actors Connection, an organization designed to support and prepare aspiring actors.
