Buon Ma Thuot police investigate woman for insulting driver and police force

Police in Buon Ma Thuot, Dak Lak, have summoned a woman following a viral video in which she insulted a driver and disparaged the image of the People's Public Security force. The incident occurred at an informal parking area during the 2026 Dak Lak Durian Festival.

The woman, identified as T.N.T.T. (43), admitted to insulting the driver, Mr. H.L. (31), and damaging the reputation of the police force. She expressed regret and has apologized to the driver, requesting to issue a public apology online.

Authorities confirmed that the driver, Mr. H.L., is not a member of the police force. The driver has since deleted the video after acknowledging that posting it via an anonymous account may have negatively impacted the festival's image. Police are currently finalizing the case for further handling according to regulations.
