Residents of Buonalbergo have been facing a severe water emergency for approximately five days, with many experiencing a total lack of water or extremely low pressure that renders the supply unusable. The disruption appears to stem from a fault in the public distribution network, potentially caused by a leak or pipe anomaly, though the utility provider, Alto Calore Servizi, has yet to officially clarify the cause.

Citizens have reported a significant lack of communication from authorities regarding the nature of the fault, the progress of repairs, or expected restoration times. Furthermore, there has been no implementation of emergency alternative water supplies, which is a requirement under ARERA regulations (Deliberation 917/2017/R/idr) for interruptions lasting beyond forty-eight hours. The situation is particularly critical for elderly residents, families with children, and those living in upper floors of buildings.
