Bupyeong development advances following Ministry of National Defense consent

Development plans for the former 1113 Engineer Brigade site in Cheongcheon-dong, Bupyeong-gu, are advancing following consent from the Ministry of National Defense. The preliminary preferred developer, Renew Medi City Bupyeong Co., Ltd., a consortium including Kyobo Securities, Hyundai Engineering & Construction, and others, plans to submit a proposal for urban development zone designation to Bupyeong-gu between late September and early October.

The project aims to transform the 66,989 square meter site into a large-scale complex featuring commercial and cultural facilities, a general hospital, and officetels. While the project previously faced delays due to administrative litigation and land acquisition negotiations, the Ministry of National Defense's consent to the urban development zone designation has provided significant momentum.

In separate regional news, Incheon Metropolitan City has extended the designation of land transaction permit zones for the Guwol 2 Public Housing District and surrounding areas for one year, until September 20, 2025. This measure aims to prevent speculative trading ahead of the Guwol 2 project, which is expected to supply 15,977 housing units by 2032. Additionally, the Geomam Station Prugio Pravenue apartment complex saw high competition during its first-round subscription, reaching a peak rate of 132 to 1.
