Buğra Koç earns 90,000 Lira monthly selling lemonade in Sakarya

In the Serdivan district of Sakarya, 14-year-old Buğra Koç has achieved significant success through a summer lemonade business. Operating a stand for six hours daily between 12:00 and 18:00, Koç reports earning approximately 3,000 Turkish Lira per day, which totals nearly 90,000 Lira per month—a figure he notes is three times the minimum wage.

Koç manages his business costs by purchasing lemons and cups weekly, noting that his daily earnings are sufficient to cover his entire weekly overhead. After 14 days of sales, he was able to purchase a smartphone with his earnings. His long-term goal is to open a dedicated lemonade café after completing his education.

His efforts have inspired his 13-year-old friend, Ali Kemal Temel, who also started a small business selling cold water. Temel earns approximately 1,000 Lira per day and is currently saving to purchase an electric bicycle.
