Burak Özçivit begins filming new series Güneşin Doğduğu Yer

Turkish actor Burak Özçivit has begun filming for his new television series, ‘Güneşin Doğduğu Yer’, produced by Tims&B Productions for the ATV network. The production is currently filming in Adana, utilizing locations previously featured in ‘Bir Zamanlar Çukurova’.

Özçivit portrays Kenan Kozan, a young heir to a powerful family in Çukurova. The plot follows Kenan as he navigates the conflict between family expectations and his love for Leyla, a woman he met in Germany. The story features a complex family dynamic, including Kenan’s mother, Celadet, played by Sibel Taşçıoğlu, who opposes the relationship to pursue different plans for her son.

The cast includes Beyza Gümülcine as Leyla, Görkem Sevindik as Ceyhun, and Hilal Anay as Hanzade. The series is directed by Çağrı Vila Lostuvalı and Çiğdem Bozali, with a screenplay by Yıldız Tunç.
