Buraka Som Sistema confirmed for MEO Marés 2027

The musical collective Buraka Som Sistema has been announced as a major performer for the 2027 edition of the MEO Marés festival. The group is scheduled to perform on the MEO Stage on July 18, 2027, in Matosinhos.

Known for fusing Angolan kuduro with global electronic music, the group is celebrating two decades of musical history following a ten-year hiatus that began in 2016. Their return to the stage follows a successful 2026 tour through Europe and Brazil. The 2027 festival marks the 20th anniversary of MEO Marés and will also feature British singer Sir Rod Stewart on July 16.

In addition to live performances, the group has recently released new music, including the track ‘Puro Mambo’, and has announced a collaboration with the international clothing brand Daily Paper.
