Burbank to add Superman and Krypto statues to DC Super Hero Trail

Burbank, California, is expanding its DC Super Hero Trail with plans to add bronze statues of Superman and his canine companion, Krypto. The Burbank Hospitality Association recently approved the Superman monument, which would become the fifth statue in the city's public art collection, following existing monuments of Batman, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern John Stewart.

Potential installation sites for the Superman statue include the green space in front of the Garry Marshall Theatre or the new Hollywood Burbank Airport terminal. A bronze Krypto statue is also in development, with foundry quotes indicating costs for 3D printing, casting, and delivery totaling approximately $96,150.
