Burberry and TOGA debut Spring/Summer 2027 collections in London

Major fashion houses Burberry and TOGA have unveiled their Spring/Summer 2027 collections during London Fashion Week, showcasing distinct thematic approaches to modern luxury and climate adaptation.

Burberry, led by Chief Creative Director Daniel Lee, drew inspiration from the 1960s ‘Swinging London’ era. Collaborating with textile artist Celia Birtwell, the collection features floral motifs, gingham, and stripes. The designs emphasize a youthful, free-spirited energy through unexpected combinations, such as trench coat dresses paired with mini lengths and floral shirts styled with leather shorts.

TOGA, designed by Yasuko Furuta, presented a collection centered on the themes of ‘acclimatization, adaptation, and liberation.’ Inspired by extreme heat in Paris and humid conditions in Tokyo, the collection explores a balance between skin exposure and layering. Key elements include sheer materials, deep V-necklines, and the integration of swimwear as everyday attire, aiming to provide high-fashion options that respond to changing global climates.
