Burberry launches 170th anniversary campaign featuring global portraits
Burberry has launched a new campaign titled ‘170: THE ANNIVERSARY PORTRAITS’ to celebrate the brand’s 170th anniversary. Inspired by the 2009 ‘Art of the Trench’ project, the campaign features 170 participants from four global cities: London, New York, Seoul, and Shanghai.
The project showcases 10 iconic outerwear styles, including the Long Kensington and Long Waterloo heritage trench coats, leather trench jackets, cashmere coats, and modern puffer jackets. The campaign features a diverse cast of individuals, including model Lila Moss, artist Crush, director Jamie Lloyd, basketball player OG Anunoby, and former South Korean volleyball player Yeonkoung Kim.
Chief Creative Officer Daniel Lee stated that the campaign reflects how Burberry’s outerwear has evolved alongside people’s styles while remaining connected to the British climate. The portraits aim to capture individual expression through the brand’s signature functional pieces.
