Burdur Food Prices Jump 37% Year‑On‑Year in June 2026

In June 2026, the local Consumer Food Price Index for Burdur, Turkey recorded a 1.06% increase compared with the previous month and a 37.03% rise over the same month last year. The steepest monthly gain was 4.99% in the bakery products group, followed by legumes and oil (2.42%), meat and meat products (2.31%), and packaged foods (1.65%). Over the past 12 months, packaged foods posted the highest annual surge at 46.08%, with nuts (41.60%), legumes and oil (38.23%), and meat products (35.35%) also climbing sharply. Prices for fruits‑vegetables, dairy, and seafood remained unchanged in June, while nuts fell 1.11%.
