Burdur Museum artifacts exhibited in Copenhagen
Eighteen artifacts from the Burdur Museum collection are currently being exhibited at the Glyptotek Museum in Copenhagen, Denmark. The exhibition, titled ‘The Power of Fashion in the Roman Empire’, explores how clothing, jewelry, and hairstyles reflected identity, social status, and political power during the Roman era.
Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy announced that the pieces are displayed alongside significant works selected from other major global museums. The collection includes large-scale marble statues depicting the imperial family and Roman elites, as well as rare archaeological textiles, jewelry, and footwear.
The exhibition opened on October 1 and is scheduled to remain open to the public until March 29, 2027.
