Burg Abenberg hosts inaugural intergenerational event

The Roth district hosted its first “Generation 60 plus” event at Burg Abenberg, an intergenerational day designed to bring grandparents and grandchildren together. The event, titled “Genussvoll unterwegs,” saw higher demand than capacity, with 75 spots filled via a lottery system.

Opened by District Administrator Ben Schwarz, the program featured various interactive stations. Participants explored medieval life at the castle museum, where they could try on chainmail and helmets. The event also included a tour of the castle's history and a visit to the Hofmann family farm, which featured an egg-sorting machine, a petting zoo, and local food tastings.
