Burg Kronberg to host conference on the future of castle associations

The Hessen regional group of the German Castle Association (Deutsche Burgenvereinigung) will host a conference at Burg Kronberg on October 4. The event focuses on the future of castle associations, specifically addressing challenges related to volunteer work, monument preservation, and financing.

Under the patronage of Hessen Prime Minister Boris Rhein, the conference aims to provide a platform for exchange among Hessian castle associations facing demographic shifts and the heavy financial burdens of maintaining historical monuments. The program includes presentations from officials at the Hessen State Chancellery, the State Office for Monument Preservation, and the German Foundation for Monument Protection. A panel discussion will also be held to discuss these issues.
