Burgas teachers win eight medals at International Spartakiad

Teachers from Burgas secured fourth place in the overall standings of the XXII International Teachers' Spartakiad held in Albena from August 26 to 31, 2026. The delegation, consisting of 21 educators, competed in 9 sports and 15 disciplines, earning a total of 8 medals.

The Burgas team achieved two first-place finishes in women’s swimming and men’s beach volleyball, along with three second-place finishes in women’s streetball, men’s swimming, and swimming relays. They also earned two fourth-place finishes and one fifth-place finish in various disciplines including table tennis and pétanque.

With 38 total points, the Burgas delegation finished behind teams from Varna, Plovdiv, and Poland. The international event featured 32 teams and over 590 competitors from various countries, including Poland and Azerbaijan.
