Burgasbus to expand English services ahead of Eurovision

Burgasbus, the public transport provider in Burgas, Bulgaria, is implementing measures to improve services for international visitors ahead of the Eurovision Song Contest. The initiative includes expanding English-language information across buses, stops, and digital channels. This will cover line numbers, routes, stop names, ticket validation procedures, and major city directions.

Additionally, starting in early 2027, the company will organize English language courses for staff members who interact directly with passengers, such as drivers and controllers. While foreign language proficiency is not a legal requirement for these roles, the training will focus on practical communication, including the use of digital translation tools and voice assistants to assist foreign travelers.
