Burgenland police welcome 47 new officers at ceremony

During the ‘Federal Police Day’ held in Neusiedl am See on September 18, 2026, the Burgenland police force welcomed new personnel. Forty-seven officers, including 23 women, have been sworn in to support police stations across the region.

Additionally, 26 police students who began their two-year training on September 1, 2026, were formally inaugurated. The ceremony was attended by Interior Minister Gerhard Karner, State Police Director Martin Huber, and Neusiedl am See Mayor Elisabeth Böhm.

Minister Karner commended the new recruits for their commitment to the security services in Burgenland and Austria. The event also included the presentation of federal and state awards to long-serving employees for their distinguished service.
