Burger Fest Canarias draws crowds to La Orotava
The Burger Fest Canarias will be held on 7–8 August in the Parking de Lercaro, La Orotava, Spain. The free‑entry festival brings together a selection of the Canary Islands’ top hamburger restaurants and food‑trucks, all emphasizing locally sourced, kilometre‑zero ingredients. Attendees can enjoy a varied musical programme that includes DJ sets and live performances.
The event features a blind‑tasting competition with prize money of €500 for first place, €300 for second, €150 for third and a €150 public‑vote award. The winning stall will qualify for the regional final scheduled for 2027 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The festival was presented by Mayor Francisco Linares, councilor of Commerce Deisy Ramos and organiser Bernardo Barreda, who highlighted its role in boosting the local economy and promoting local products.
