Burger King worker Arianna Hamilton raises over $200,000 after dismissal for 'Free Palestine' comment

Arianna Hamilton, a former employee of an independently owned Burger King franchise in Breinigsville, Pennsylvania, was terminated after telling a customer, Rami Feinstein, "Free Palestine" when he identified himself as Israeli. The exchange was recorded and posted online, prompting the customer to question whether the restaurant was safe for Jewish patrons.

Hamilton opened a GoFundMe campaign titled "Support Arianna After Job Loss for Free Speech" to cover rent, utilities, food and other living expenses while she searches for new work. Within days the fundraiser collected more than $215,000, well beyond her stated needs. She said any surplus would be donated to families in Palestine. Burger King issued a statement expressing regret over the incident, emphasizing a zero‑tolerance policy for hate and discrimination, and noted it was working with the franchisee to address the situation.
