Burger King to expand into Serbia with first Belgrade restaurant
Burger King is officially expanding into Serbia, with job advertisements confirming the launch of its first restaurant in Belgrade. The recruitment process is currently seeking marketing specialists, shift leaders, and team members.
The Serbian representative for the chain is identified as Danubian d. o. o., which is 100% owned by the Austrian company Nomberg Management GMBH. The director of the Serbian entity is Veselin Janićijević, who previously led McDonald’s in Serbia.
This expansion follows a meeting in February between Serbian Minister of Economy Adrijana Mesarović and Burger King representatives regarding investment plans across the country. While the specific location and opening date for the first Belgrade restaurant have not yet been announced, the move marks the brand's entry into the Serbian market, joining its existing regional presence in countries such as Croatia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, and North Macedonia.
