Burgio celebrates water resources with new community services

The town of Burgio recently concluded the “Burgio – Acque di Comunità” event, a two-day initiative focused on the historical, natural, and social importance of water. Organized by the Associazione Culturale Sipario 4 di Sciacca, the event aimed to combine public services with the promotion of local heritage.

Key highlights included the inauguration of a new “Casetta dell’Acqua” (Water House) at the town entrance, intended to improve water accessibility and promote sustainable resource management. Additionally, the community celebrated the installation of new artistic lighting for the historic Fontana della Badia, designed to enhance the site’s architectural features and serve as a local attraction during evening hours.
