Germany sees spate of burglary incidents in public venues
Police investigations are under way after a series of burglaries at public venues across Germany. In Elmshorn, an unknown individual forced open two lockers at the swimming pool’s sauna area, stole personal items and a car key, and then used the key to drive off with a Mitsubishi ASX. In the Saale‑Holzland district, thieves broke into a beverage shop in Weißenborn, stealing cash estimated at €500 and various goods, while causing thousands of euros in property damage. In Hesse, burglars forced entry into a restaurant in Körle, stole cash from the bar’s register, and separately stole an e‑scooter from Melsungen railway station after breaking its lock. Police in each locality have appealed for witnesses and information to help identify the perpetrators.
