Burgos hosts major scientific congress and research events
Burgos, Spain, recently hosted significant scientific and educational events focused on human evolution and research. The European Society for the Study of Human Evolution (ESHE) held its annual congress from September 16 to 20, bringing together approximately 400 specialists from various countries. The event featured research in paleoanthropology, archaeology, genetics, geology, and paleobiology, including over 200 poster presentations.
In conjunction with these scientific efforts, the National Center for Research on Human Evolution (CENIEH) and the University of Burgos organized the 17th European Researchers' Night on September 25. Under the theme ‘From Burgos to the Sky,’ the event offered public outreach activities, including lectures on archaeoastronomy and the neurological effects of music, aimed at connecting citizens with scientific research.
