Buriram police investigate British man for alleged sportswear fraud

A British man is under investigation in Buriram, Thailand, following allegations of retail fraud involving Buriram United sportswear. The investigation was initiated after Mega Castle Co Ltd filed a complaint with the Mueang Buriram Police Station.

The company reported that the individual ordered four authentic Buriram United items online and subsequently requested a return, claiming the items were the incorrect size. Upon receiving the returned goods, company staff became suspicious that the items sent back were not the original products.

On September 16, officers acting on a warrant from the Buriram Provincial Court searched a resort room in the Mueang Buriram district. During the search, police encountered the British man and seized four pieces of Buriram United sportswear for examination. The items have been handed over to investigators as evidence.

Authorities have stated that the investigation is ongoing and no final determination has been made regarding whether the seized items are linked to the reported offense. In response to the incident, Buriram Provincial Police advised online retailers to maintain thorough documentation, including order details, payment receipts, delivery records, and product photographs, to assist in resolving similar disputes.
