Buriticá: Missing six-year-old girl found dead

The search for six-year-old Michelle Dayana Henao Chavarría has ended tragically. The child, who had been missing since August 24, was found dead in a rural area of Buriticá, in the Antioquia department of Colombia.

Antioquia Governor Andrés Julián Rendón confirmed the news, expressing deep condolences to the family and calling on authorities to use all available resources to determine the cause of death and identify any responsible parties.

The search operation lasted one week and involved the Police, Army, Firefighters, the Red Cross, and local authorities, utilizing canine units, drones, and technological tracking in difficult-to-access rural zones. The child, who lived with autism and epilepsy, had been missing since approximately 10:00 a.m. on August 24.
