Burkina Faso advances vocational education reform in Tenkodogo

Burkina Faso is advancing its educational reform focused on professionalization. From September 3 to 5, 2026, an workshop was held in Tenkodogo to develop training manuals for technical and vocational high schools, specifically linked to the future establishment in Bagré.

This initiative is part of the Presidential Initiative for Quality Education for All (IPEQ). The goal is to transform technical and vocational education and training (TVET) into a driver of economic growth by aligning training programs with local productive capacities. Professor Zakaria Soré, the national coordinator of the IPEQ, noted that this process is a critical step in defining the curricula and professional paths for future students.

During the closing ceremony, the Minister of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training, Professor Moumouni Zoungrana, inspected the progress of construction at the Bagré high school site.
