Burkina Faso and Niger report record 2026 vocational exam pass rates
In Diatona, Burkina Faso, the Centre d’Éducation de Base Non Formelle (CEBNF) closed its 2026 school year with a 100 % pass rate on the Certificat de Qualification Professionnelle (CQP) and a 94.5 % success rate on the Gourmantché language certification. Director Ibrahim Kapioko highlighted that all 23 candidates presented were admitted, marking the first perfect cohort since the centre opened in 2000.
In Diffa, Niger, the Programme de la Refondation’s implementation in technical and professional education achieved a 98.56 % CQP pass rate, 96.18 % on the Certificat d’Aptitude Professionnelle (CAP), and 88.3 % on the Brevet d’Études Professionnelles (BEP). The initiative invested 354,071,755 FCFA in new training facilities, including a technical training centre in Diffa and additional classrooms in Mainé‑Soroa, aiming to modernise infrastructure and improve learning conditions for young people.
