Burkina Faso announces JEPPC 2026 patriotic engagement phase

Burkina Faso will hold the second phase of the 3rd edition of the National Days of Patriotic Engagement and Citizen Participation (JEPPC) from October 2 to 16, 2026. The event will take place across the national territory and within Burkina Faso's diplomatic and consular missions abroad.

Under the theme “Produce Burkinabè, consume Burkinabè!”, this phase focuses on national production, economic civism, and the promotion of local expertise. The government aims to utilize “Made in Burkina” as a driver for economic sovereignty, employment, and income generation, particularly for women and youth.

Key activities include flag-raising ceremonies, wearing traditional clothing, sanitation days, blood donations, and contributions to the Patriotic Support Fund. A major innovation for this phase is a government exhibition at the SIAO from October 2 to 9, showcasing the achievements and acquisitions of the Popular Progressive Revolution. Additionally, October 15 will be dedicated to honoring President Thomas Sankara, followed by the “Nuit des Étoiles du Faso” on October 16 to recognize exemplary citizen engagement.
