Burkina Faso marks fourth anniversary of Progressive and Popular Revolution
Burkina Faso is observing the fourth anniversary of the Progressive and Popular Revolution (RPP) through various commemorative events and training initiatives across the country.
In the Oudalan region, specifically in Gorom-Gorom, citizens gathered at the Place de la Nation to celebrate the revolution's achievements. Local officials and military leaders used the event to highlight regional resilience and pay tribute to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP).
In the Yaadga region, Governor Thomas Yampa presided over ceremonies in Ouahigouya. The event included cultural performances and a broadcast of a message from the Head of State, delivered by Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo. Participants expressed renewed support for Captain Ibrahim Traoré and his government.
Additionally, in Ouagadougou, a training program concluded with the official presentation of the RPP Manifesto to 153 ‘messengers’. This diverse group, including students, deputies, and artists, was trained to propagate the values and vision of the revolution to various social strata throughout Burkina Faso.
