Burkina Faso concludes JEPPC 2026 government exhibition

The government exhibition regarding the achievements of the Progressive Popular Revolution (RPP) concluded on October 9, 2026, at the International Handicraft Fair of Ouagadougou (SIAO). The closing ceremony was presided over by Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism, Pingdwendé Gilbert Ouédraogo, representing Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo.

Part of the second phase of the National Days of Patriotic Engagement and Citizen Participation (JEPPC), the eight-day event drew approximately 200,000 visitors. The exhibition featured 28 stands operated by 19 ministerial departments across seven thematic poles, covering more than 3,500 square meters. Additionally, a village for national products hosted over 140 stands, with a total of 700 exhibitors mobilized.

A key component of the event was the ‘Dialogue with the People’ initiative, which allowed government members to present departmental achievements and challenges while addressing citizen concerns. The event also provided free services, including healthcare, identification procedures, judicial services, and universal health insurance operations.
