Burkina Faso installs organizing committee for 37th Tour du Faso

The Ministry of Sports, Youth, and Employment has officially installed the National Organizing Committee (CNO) for the 37th edition of the Tour du Faso international cycling race. The committee is led by Ignace Amédé Béréwoudougou, president of the Burkinabè Cycling Federation.

The organizational structure includes a presidency cell, a supervision cell, a secretariat, and ten specialized commissions. Minister Annick Lydie Djouma Pikbougoum Zingué Ouattara emphasized the need for total commitment, synergy between partners, and rigorous coordination to ensure the event's success and minimize operational risks.

The competition, which serves as a major event on the African cycling calendar, is scheduled to begin on October 30, 2026. The tournament is viewed as a significant opportunity to promote Burkina Faso's international sporting image.
