Burkina Faso launches development initiative and national concert celebrating resilience
On 27 July 2026, the Orchestra of the Presidency of Burkina Faso performed the "Concert de la Résilience et du Triomphe" in the town of Pô. The event, led by commander Aimé Césaire Ouédraogo, featured artists such as Mariah Bissongo, Zêdess, Smarty and Bil Aka Kora and drew a massive local crowd for a four‑hour program that emphasized patriotism and national perseverance.
Two days later, on 29 July 2026, the presidential development programme "Faso Mêbo" was launched in the Nazinon region at Manga. Regional governor Yvette Nacoulma inaugurated the initiative, highlighting contributions of more than 7 million CFA from local citizens and substantial cement donations from the Razang Naaba of Nobéré’s company NIPAD SA and the Confederation of Burkinabe Enterprises. The programme aims to support infrastructure projects, de‑enclavement of towns and villages, and broader economic development across the country.
