Burkina Faso launches e-Agrément MS digital health platform

The Burkina Faso Ministry of Health has officially launched e-Agrément MS, a digital platform designed to digitize administrative procedures within the healthcare sector. Launched in Ouagadougou, the portal allows promoters of private health facilities to submit applications for opening and operating licenses online.

Minister of Health Robert Lucien Jean-Claude Kargougou noted that the platform significantly streamlines the authorization process, which previously required 16 steps and the involvement of 11 different actors. In addition to private facility licenses, the platform will handle partnership agreement requests between the Ministry and NGOs, associations, and foundations.

The initiative aims to improve transparency, ensure better traceability of files, and reduce processing times. Minister of Digital Transition Aminata Zerbo highlighted that this move aligns with the national strategy to accelerate the digitalization of public administration services.
